1965 Gibson ES-125 Hollowbody Guitar 1960's Project for Restoration Vintage

This listing is for a Vintage 1965 Gibson ES-125 Hollowbody Guitar Body-Neck (Husk) Project for Repair & Restoration. This Gibson ES-125 was made in 1965. The serial number is 328786 and the guitar has a wide 1 & 11/16ths nut width. The guitar has been stripped of it's parts and the listing just for the body-neck husk as pictured.
The guitar will need some repair & restoration. The biggest issue that I am aware of is the guitar has had a less than professional refret. It appears someone did a refret of this at one time and the frets we're just not professionally installed so the guitar will require some fret work and in a worst case scenario it will require a refret. The back of the neck has also been completely sanded and the finish removed which gives the guitar a rough feel to the hand. The truss rod is functional and without strings on it, the neck appears straight. The guitar has a slight headstock crack on the treble side of the headstock. The repair was well done and is solidly repaired. The guitar shows a good amount of cosmetic wear as well. The area around the input jack is slightly damaged, see pics. The guitar shows very heavy finish wear such as nicks, dings and scratches. The finish is original but a lot of the clear coat has just naturally worn away which gives parts of the back sides a matte look to it. The top has a nice patina and a vintage vibe and there a large suntan on the top from where the pickguard once was.

The guitar comes with a non original old chip board case that is in very poor condition but will protect the guitar in shipping and the guitar will be expertly packed. Because this guitar is listed as needing major repairs & restoration it is being sold AS-IS with no returns or refunds. The buyer should expect to do some significant repairs to restore this guitar.
