Condition: Instrument is overall in good condition, but it is almost 50 years old. There is some damage to the lacquer (around bottom edge). Light wear to fretboard, some fine lines on fretwires. Guitar also has some visible belt buckle rash. Pickup covers have some scratching. Original case has a name spray painted on it, the interior is worn, the case does not close perfectly.

What a cool guitar! Although it has lots of wear, it still looks good, and plays the way it should. Some folks might call this a lawsuit guitar, but the bolt on neck and a look inside the electronics cavity, suggests that Matsumoku was ahead of Gibson on some levels.
Serial Number 037231 does not mean anything, I dont really know when this guitar was built, but 99% it was built before 1976.
I have noticed that the current band leader for the Late Show
, Louis Cato, plays a guitar each night that is very similar to this...although his is a maple neck Ventura.
I have priced the guitar at low end of the range, to reflect the fact that others on offer appear in better condition.
