ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION
All of our instruments are in complete, working condition. This instrument was professionally inspected & given a pro set-up by one of our favorite luthiers/guitarist/composer/teacher & fantastic human being as well as the co-founder of April Mae & The Junebugs, Dave "Catfish" Fecca of Dave Fecca Guitar Repair located in Moorestown, NJ...so this axe is ready to rage!
CONDITION:
Instrument is in very good+, player grade condition, in our opinion. Our luthier gave this his full pro set-up, and did some light maintenance work to make her look great. The Catfish adjusted the neck and action, set the intonation, re-glued the nut, and buffed and polished the frets to smooth out any wear to provide its next owner a smooth, playable guitar. All hardware was
tightened
and all electronics were inspected, sprayed and cleaned.
Cosmetically, the guitar has assorted playwear and dings from use. Our luthier made the fretboard relatively spotless, but there are dings and scratches on the back of the neck and in various spots on the back, sides, and front of the body of the guitar. While none of these imperfections are jutting deeply into the finish, we try to accurately describe our items so our buyers know exactly what they are receiving. This is a natural relic'd finish from 55+ years of usage.
As for the original Gibson case, a portion of the handle was broken and will need to be either repaired or replaced. Case is still fully functionally & serves to protect this instrument very well.
We did our best to take photos of the wear on the guitar and case so please view them carefully for
specific condition.
DIMENSIONS:
Body is 39" long x 13 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" deep; scale is 24 3/4" long x 1 5/8" wide at the 1st fret, 2" wide at the 12th fret, & 2 1/16" wide at the 17th fret. Nut measures 1 5/8" wide.
Guitar weighs in at 7 lbs 4 oz.
NOTES:
The 6 way rotary switch acts as a pickup switch & an in/out of phase switch. It functions as follows:
Position 1:
both pickups in series & in phase(basically a kill switch),
Position 2:
front pickup only,
Position 3:
both pickups in parallel & in phase,
Position 4:
both pickups in parallel & out of phase,
Position 5
: rear pickup only, Position 6: both pickups in series & out of phase.
An exceptionally comfortable axe to play with its distinctive body style, slim neck & fret board and low overall weight. Sonically, it is also extremely versatile due to the rotary selector switch and the specially designed humbuckers.
This instrument is ready to rage and rock out in any environment. Great for rock, metal, blues, jazz, C & W, etc. This instrument would give a great deal of pleasure to a collector, a player, or a professional.
Obviously, this is being sold as is, where is, with no implied warranties or guarantees of any kind whatsoever. Since this is a vintage electric musical instrument, our normal return policy DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS ITEM! It cannot be returned to us. RE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS:
A black, or ebony finished instrument, is very difficult to photograph even outside in indirect sunlight, which is how we like to shoot guitars. It is very tough to show defects in those conditions & there exists loads of natural glare due to the finish on the instrument. We believe in full disclosure of all the assorted details of our listings, as it makes for a more informed buyer and creates an easier online experience.
PLEASE CONSIDER OUR PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS AS AN EXTENSION OF OUR HIGHLY DESCRIPTIVE TEXT.
Shipping insurance is included. Instrument will be boxed in a heavy, new guitar box & will be shipped via USPS or FedEx. Or, this can be picked up locally at our physical bricks and mortar shop in Collingswood, NJ 08108.
Please inquire regarding international shipping rates prior to purchase or making us an offer. This item is subject to prior sale. If you have any interest in purchasing this fine instrument, please feel free to make us an offer. We're full time general antique dealers and negotiating is a large part of our business. Just saying......

**SPECIAL NOTE: It is with a very heavy heart that we wish to share the news of the recent passing on
Dec 6, 2020, of our almost 12 year old red & white beagle, our beloved Ace. He was our mascot and namesake of this shop on Reverb.com. He gave us the initial inspiration to sign up with Reverb.com, primarily due to the name that we chose to use on this fantastic website. He was also the chief of security & official greeter for our bricks & mortar shop, always ready to engage with the customers; tail wagging, always happy & forever on the lookout for any ingestible treats that our customers wished to share with him as well as a nice butt or belly rub.
Ace is, and will continue to be, very sorely missed by all who knew him. Our shop will never be the same without his presence. But, his intense spirit and joie de vivre lives on, through our loving memories of him and also via this wonderful platform online. Love the heck out of ya, Acie!!
Sadly, Ellis

TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS:
If you are contemplating making us an offer on this or any of our other varied listings, please be fully prepared to follow through, pay for your item and consummate the deal if your offer is accepted by us. We have been hit hard lately by offers from buyers with little or even zero feedback or inexperience on this selling platform. These buyers never paid for their purchases. Obviously, we would rather this never happen again, but sometimes it will occur no matter what our wishes are. Thank you for reading this far and for your patience and understanding as well. And, in the immortal lyrics from an early Steve Miller Band tune, “You gotta keep on keepin on”!
