Kind Pots, by Botanical Rascals, are reusable, breathable fabric garden containers with side openings for simple plant removal.
They feature snapping sides that let you more easily peal away the container sides to reduce plant shock when transplanting! You'll be able to gently separate roots away from the fabric without causing root trauma. These snaps stay securely fastened until you choose to unsnap them for transplantation or root inspection.
Kind Pots are made from high quality geotextiles that provide a tensile strength in excess of 800 pounds. Double stitched seams and sturdy plastic snaps insure your growing media stays in the bag over several uses.
The porous fabric prevents root circling by allowing roots to grow through their non-woven, felt-like construction. As the roots punch through the outer walls of the bag, they are auto-pruned. This process, also known as air-pruning, causes an explosive growth of fibrous roots to branch out from the interior root ball giving your plant even more conduits for nutrient uptake - meaning bigger, healthier plants.
Fabric plant containers passively cool and aerate the root zone, providing an oxygen rich rhyzosphere with ample microbial activity. During winter months, the heavy weight fabric construction can actually help to insulate the plant's root zone from extreme temperatures.
Kind Pots can be used with soil as well as some soil-less hydroponic systems. They are especially well suited for coconut fiber with either drip lines or flood-and-drain trays.
When you're ready to dispose of them, simply rinse clean and put them in your recycle bin.
