    DIGITAL DREAM MACHINE
The Synclavier V faithfully recreates the elite digital synthesizer/workstation that started it all, powering some of the biggest hits and film soundtracks of the early 80s with its unique rich, edgy sounds.
Get ready to go back to the 1980s. You'll feel like you're there as soon as you kick on the Synclavier V. Yes, Arturia has made a plug-in version of the iconic digital synthesizer workstation that was ubiquitous in that era. Beloved by record producers, film composers, and sound designers alike, this machine has been used on so many classics, it'd be tedious to list them all. Now, you can get the whole thing in your DAW.
This plug-in is based entirely upon the original's digital code. That means this plug-in is literally a real Synclavier! But now you can get the partial timbre synthesis that characterized the original in even greater detail. Only the best could afford to use it during the machine's original run, but now you have an even better version of the instrument - all in a far more compact, easy to use package. Believe me, this plug-in is likely the most streamlined version of the synth ever. You can get started with your MIDI controller immediately. If you want to assign controls to it, it's really easy.
You could leave it up to the masters, use one of many great presets, and be ready to perform in seconds. There are 450 presets of virtually all of the iconic sounds from the synthesizer's most famous moments, from Beat It to
    The Princess Bride.
But if you're like us, you'll probably eventually want to explore the inner workings of the synth. For this purpose, it also includes an additional graphic waveform screen that gives you even more precise control of each partial and FM modulator. This allows you to create a patch based upon your very own customized partial timbres, which means if you're willing to take the time, you can make this thing sound like nothing you've ever heard before. This plug-in surpasses the capabilities of the original with a few modern updates. These include higher bit-resolution, more partial timbres, more waveforms, and brand new additional effects. With all of the possibilities that the Synclavier V gives you, you have the means to take this synth beyond its familiar sounds into newer, more radical experiences.
