Description

Here is a seldom seen Bell System Pre War Ivory colored 302 desk phone.
You can easily tell a pre war set as the handset plungers matched the color of the phone with later 302 s having clear plungers.
These pre war set were produced right before Wold War 2 and were Western Electrics first colored phones.
The production was stopped during the war and was resumed inthe early 1950,s
The manufacture dates on all the components date in the early 40,s. The phone also has a rural 5J dial.The cover removes easily with no effort.
There are some issues with the phone as can be seen in the pictures.
Small stabilzed crack
Missing ringer
Receiver cap can't be removed.
The phone has the patina of 79 year old phone and displays beautifully.
Hard to find phone and a great addition to your collection.
