Storybook Friends "Raggedy Ann In Cookie Land"
Raggedy Ann just loves to visit Cookie Land. The people and flowers and cows and even puppy dogs there are yummy candy-covered cookies. Pf course, Raggedy Ann never nibbles on any of her friends, no matter how delicious they smell.
However, not everyone in Cookie Land is always sweet. Nasty old Hookie-the Goblin once wanted to gobble up the cookie children, and soup out of Raggedy Ann. As if a rag doll would make good soup!
Raggedy Ann, and the Cookies, and their friend Snitznoodle, didn't worry much about Hookie and his meanness, for how people think of disagreeable things if their hearts are filled with friendliness, and their mouths with nice fresh jelly tarts?
But then, Hookie caught the kindly Snitznoodle, and made him a prisoner. "I must think of a way to rescue the Snitznoodle," said Raggedy Ann. She used her mitt hands to pull her forehead into thought wrinkles. Raggedy Ann thought and thought so hard that she popped two stitches in the back of her head. All at once, Raggedy Ann remembered what Snow White's mother had done. " If I disguise myself as a witch, I can go to Hookie's door pretending to sell cream puffs. When I get inside, I can rescue the Snitznoodle." This plan did not work, though. The Goblin reconized Raggedy Ann by her shoe button eyes, and he caught her, too.
Raggedy Annand the Snitznoodle were such good friends that they were happy to be together again even in Hookie-the-Goblin's house. Watching them, Hookie realized that he would like to be their friend, too. He became such a nice Goblin that everyone forgave him. "My goodness," said Raggedy Anne, "didn't we all have a nice adventure?"
