For sale is a collection of patches in sysex format for the Yamaha DX-100 and all other,(except FB01), Yamaha 4opFM synths. Included in this collection is a special bank which contains 20 patches written specifically for the ALMIGHTY TALKBOX!!
Note: This auction is for patches and software ONLY!
No hardware synthesizers are included in this auction.
In addition to the talkbox patches this collection includes THOUSANDS of other
patches from the TX81Z, DX-100, DX-21, DX-27, DX-11, TQ5, YS100 & YS200.
These patches will work in ANY of the above mentioned synths. This collection
has been compiled over many years and is surely the finest collection of Yamaha
4opFM patches available. Also included is an excellent editor/librarian progam
so you can load, store and even program your own custom patches!
Now many of you lusting
after that perfect talkbox tone may have been led to believe you
need a DX-100,(cuz that's what Roger Troutman played), Well....that's just nonsense!! The DX-100, DX-27, and DX-21 can all share
the same patches as they are basically all the same 4-operator
Yamaha FM synth. The big difference is in build quality. The
DX-100 is a little plasticky piece of junk with 49 mini keys!! The DX-21 and DX-27 are housed in steel and have full size keys. The TX81Z is also built like a tank and has many extra features not found on the DX-100. The DX-11, TQ5, YS100 & YS200 also make fine alternatives to the DX-100. The main thing is that all the above mentioned synths are not only built better than the DX-100 but cost quite a bit less as they are not attached to a celebrity name.
Ok, maybe you're just not into talkboxing....that's no reason
to pass up this great collection!! There are patches for every category of instrument and suitable to any style of music.....you will NOT be dissapointed!!
If you do not own a MIDI interface and have at least some knowledge of how MIDI and Sysex patches  work you probably should NOT buy this product.
