This yearbook features the Senior photos of pop music artist TONI BASIL. Known for her 1982 pop hit, "
Mickey
" w/ the well known lyric line :
'...Oh Mickey, you're so fine
You're so fine, you blow my mind.."
The video for the song was also one of the most popular videos on MTV when it debued.
One interesting factoid, the cheerleader uniform she wore in the video is
NOT the same (despite what Wikipedia says) cheerleader uniform (or sweater) she wore in high school
. If one watches the video, she has on what is likely a 1981 (there's an 81' on her shoulder ) LVHS cheerleader uniform of the day she acquired for the video, not the uniform she can be seen wearing in this annual or like what she would have worn in 1961.
All in all, a cool and interesting piece of US pop Americana !
