    Description

    Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCANS! This is an ORIGINAL 1904 St. Louis World's Fair MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE for the "World's Fair Fraternal Building Association of St Louis, Missouri.
    This certificate was issued to CAMP NUMBER 7459, MW of A of PLATTE, SOUTH DAKOTA, and was issued on MAY 25, 1904. These were members of the UMWA, the UNITED MINE WORKERS OF AMERICA.
    Under list of officers you can see PRESIDENT NOAH M GIVAN who has signed the certificate. W.H. THOMPSON was one of the principal directors of the Fair. On the lower left is the embossed seal marked around edge "World's Fair Fraternal Building Association" In center marked "St. Louis 1904 U. S. A."  This gem measures 16 1/4 inches X 13 3/4 inches...  The building shown is the Temple of Fraternity, which was built for the St Louis World's Fair. The condition should be clear from the scans. The greatest flaws are a nip out of the upper left corner; a small tear on the lower left edge; a crease on the lower right, and general vintage wear. Not mint but fairly gently treated and a tough find! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR!
