Vintage BATIK “kain panjang” Java Indonesia

Vintage MINT condition, circa 1940/50, gorgeous “kain panjang” (long cloth) Indonesian batik. This was part of my aunt’s collection. This batik is divided diagonally incorporating 2 motif designs. Reminiscent of batiks designed from Lasem, Indonesia in the 1880s. The batik uses a “parang” (sword) design with a floral motif. Leafy tendrils, flowers and flower buds (please see pics). Colors are black, blues, browns and tan. Length is approx. 89” length and width is approx 41”. A truly spectacular piece. Photo 5 was taken outdoors. Pictures do not reflect the beauty of this batik. Batik colors differ between photos, I have tried to post photos that best represent the actual batik. Please message me with questions.
