Description
Vintage electric Guitar. This is a Barney Kessel copy, late 60s - 70s era. I'm not sure what brand it is but it is NOT a Gibson. From what I've seen online, my best guess would be a Ventura or Univox. There have been several copies under various names so please do some research and decide for yourself. Still, it is a very well made set neck instrument. It has a few paint chips on the sides, on the lower cutaway, and a small scuff on the back of the neck, but no major damage otherwise. The rear pickup cutout shows a little under the pickup ring but will be covered once the pickguard is installed. It comes with a new repro pickguard and bracket. The front of the headstock has checking in the finish and wear on the rear corners but is solid. It has a vintage Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, vintage Schaller tuning keys, and a vintage Gibson tune-o-matic bridge. It is missing the knobs but the pots do work. They could use some contact cleaner. The guitar plays and sounds nice and looks amazing. It is one of the nicest and most accurate Barney Kessel copies I've seen for a fraction of the price of an original. I have more photos if you'd like to see them. It also comes with an era correct hard shell case. It is worn and has a handle repair but is solid otherwise and protects the guitar well. Please see all photos and ask any questions thanks!
